Our Jotform Journey – Review
We started our website back in 2009 and we had very limited options for form plugins to use with wordpress. It was always a challenge to find a way to collect information from our online visitors.
I started using Wufoo: Online Form Builder and it was okay for what I needed at that time- but was still somewhat frustrating with the design of the actual form itself. Back then, it was a one size fits all and there weren’t very many options. I even remember having to export to excel to just see the responses in an acceptable way. I can’t say what their application looks like now, because I seriously haven’t looked for another application since I started using Jotform.
In 2017, I found JotForm online and thought I’d give them a try. I love trying new tools for my business and since we all know that there are competitors for just about everything, I just knew at some point, someone would want to do something better.
I loved it – the options of design, the templates, the ease of creating the forms by just selecting elements to apply to your form. The best thing is – they’re constantly approving their application. New features are being released that are surprisingly helpful to any business. Having the WordPress plugin is whip cream on top of the espresso.
Now, we use it to collect payments with the PayPal integration. We use the Gift Registry widget which allows us to specify an inventory count for each product, so that when someone purchases, it depletes the inventory count. Makes it so easy that it’s automated and I don’t have to have a customer call me or email me, check if it’s sold out and then respond.
Jotform also has an integration with MailerLite which is my email delivery service of choice. The combination of these two tools and it solves for 40% off my online business needs. Zapier is also an option if needed. While there are so many form design options, it’s still a very simple and user friends application that anyone can learn to use. Pricing is on point too – With a Free Version so you can try it out. However, I quickly moved to a bronze level and was there for a while – I’m using the Silver plan now because of how many forms I use. You will not be disapointed, and if you have WordPress, don’t forget to install the JotForm plugin too.
